On the afternoon of December 11th, Newhongji Company welcomed a delegation from the School of Literature of Suzhou City University. The visiting group included Associate Dean Sun Shaohua, Professor Shen Yao, Counselor Li Qin, and over 20 students. During this visit, the students gained in-depth insights into Newhongji's corporate culture and production processes while also experiencing Suzhou’s profound cultural heritage and its remarkable development since the reform and opening-up era.
The visit began with a warm welcome ceremony. On behalf of all employees and the management team, HR Manager Zhang Wei extended a heartfelt welcome to the visiting teachers and students. General Manager Li Jian personally introduced the Newhongji culture wall, sharing the company’s journey from its founding to its current achievements. This gave the students a clear understanding of the challenges and milestones the company has encountered at each stage of its growth.
The group was then divided into two teams, guided by technical lecturers to tour the production workshop and quality control facilities. Technical experts Wang Lei, Pang Zhichong, Wang Xuming, and Quality Department Manager Hu Guoxia provided detailed explanations through live demonstrations of machining centers, CNC lathes, automated lines, and quality control procedures. This close interaction with precision equipment and automated production lines allowed the students to deeply appreciate the advanced technologies involved in ultra-precision component manufacturing.
Following the tour, the students gathered to listen to a compelling presentation by General Manager Li Jian, who shared the company’s development story, entrepreneurial journey, and personal experiences. Li Jian reflected on the challenges faced and overcome during the early days of co-founding Newhongji with his father. He elaborated on how they drove continuous innovation in the field of ultra-precision machining, ultimately establishing the company as a leader in the industry. Li Jian's insights into professional growth and balancing work with life provided the students with significant inspiration. Additionally, HR Manager Zhang Wei offered practical advice on career planning and job interview skills, equipping the students for their future professional endeavors.
The teachers and students from Suzhou City University highly appreciated Li Jian’s insightful sharing and guidance. During the event, Li Jian was formally appointed as an off-campus mentor for the University, with a certificate presented as a token of recognition and gratitude.
This visit not only gave the students a comprehensive understanding of Newhongji’s operations and technological advancements but also offered a broader perspective on Suzhou’s remarkable economic progress since the reform and opening-up era. The students unanimously expressed that the event was highly rewarding, providing valuable inspiration and motivation for their future studies and career development.
